Natural Phinisi Rates 2027

Per cabin or whole boat — real published rates, a 2026 vs 2027 comparison, and every cost that sits outside the headline number.

Short answer. There are two ways to buy a phinisi week and they are not interchangeable. Per cabin on a scheduled departure runs USD 300 to USD 800 per person. Whole boat runs from USD 1,800 per night for a five-berth boutique phinisi to USD 27,000 plus VAT at flagship level. Park fees and VAT sit outside both.

FAQ

Questions People Actually Ask

How much does it cost to charter a phinisi in Komodo?

Published whole-boat rates start at USD 1,800 per night for a five-berth boutique phinisi, USD 3,800 at classic tier and USD 5,700 at premium tier, rising to USD 27,000 plus 11% VAT at flagship level.

What is the cheapest way to do a Komodo phinisi trip?

A cabin on a scheduled departure. Published per-person rates start at USD 300 for a family cabin on Ahsana Liveaboard and USD 310 for a studio on Magika, plus the national park entrance fee.

How much are 2027 rates going up?

Where 2027 rates are published alongside 2026, the step is roughly 15 to 16 per cent. Magika's 3D2N for one to five guests moves from USD 9,500 in 2026 to USD 11,000 in 2027.

Is VAT included?

Not always. Classic and most premium rates are quoted net; several superyacht-class and flagship vessels add 11% or 12%. On a USD 17,000 night, 12% is another USD 2,040.

What are Komodo National Park fees in 2027?

Under PP 36/2024, IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per visit, and IDR 50,000 weekday or IDR 75,000 holiday for Indonesian visitors. Trekking, wildlife observation and snorkelling are covered within the foreign visitor fee.

What is included in a whole-boat charter rate?

Crew and captain, chef and all meals, non-alcoholic drinks, fuel on the standard Komodo route, snorkelling equipment and the usual guided excursions. Alcohol, dive packages and park fees are separate.
